SALLE COMMUNΕ
" We are filled with famous people who only talk about clothes and shoes. "
SALLE COMMUNE investigates the corruption and instrumentalisation of language and logic within contemporary communication systems. Spoken language is largely displaced and appears primarily as off-stage instructions and informational fragments related to the mouth, the inability of animals to cry and laugh, how to raise children and more. The work examines how language can operate as a system of control, persuasion and disorientation, questioning how meaning is produced, mediated and manipulated within social and performative contexts. The stage brings together a musician, a bodybuilder and a hologram of a philosopher within a system of unstable and hierarchical communication structures. In SALLE COMMUNE people primarily communicate through nonverbal elements: vocal music scales, exclamations, gymnastic demonstrations, sounds and dance motifs.
" His father liked to toss and turn. When they opened the grave, the body had not decomposed at all. Every bone was as whole as the day he died. They wanted him to decompose, to make room for others, so many traffic accidents happen, young people, there should be a place for them to fit. Nowadays, parents with no prior health problems suffer cardiac arrest or develop cysts. And who hasn’t died this way, they must build a cemetery just for them. "
