THE VALUE OF NOTHING

The text resulted from a workshop led by Artemis Chrysostomidou at Lichtenberg Studios as part of the Mäandern Project, aimed at uncovering the dramaturgy of the place. Participants selected words from stickers around the Museum Lichtenberg and wrote brief texts using the collected words. The artist then created a unified, cohesive text, with the sticker words highlighted in bold, while different colors used to distinguish each participant's contribution. An alphabet stencil was utilised to overlay the text, referencing the street culture of stickers and the linguistic material associated with them. The visual-linguistic elements became dramaturgy and the words returned to their original form as a visual-linguistic 'spectacle', this time presented as a framed exhibit.
